Privacy Policy

Effective 4 October 2026

  • Your images never leave your device. They are converted in your browser and are never uploaded.
  • No cookies, analytics, ads or tracking of any kind.
  • A few settings are saved in your own browser so Pureico remembers them.
  • Our host handles basic technical data to deliver the website, like any website.

Pureico (pureico.intercepth.dev) is a free tool that turns images into icon files. It is built so that your images stay on your device. This policy explains what that means in practice. In it, “we” and “us” refer to Intercepth, who runs Pureico.

Your images

When you add an image, your browser reads, resizes and converts it on your own device, in a background Web Worker. The icon files are created on your device and saved through your browser’s normal download feature. Your images, and the files made from them, are never sent to us or to anyone else.

This is enforced, not just promised: the website’s Content Security Policy blocks the page from sending data to any server, and Pureico keeps working with your internet connection switched off.

Information stored on your device

Pureico uses your browser’s own storage only for features you use:

  • Preferences (theme, chosen formats and sizes) are kept in local storage until you clear this site’s data.
  • Recent conversions (up to five recent downloads with small previews) are kept in session storage and are deleted automatically when you close the tab.
  • An offline copy of the app (the website’s own files, stored by a service worker) lets Pureico work without a connection. It contains no personal information.

This information stays on your device and we cannot see it. You can remove it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

Pureico does not set cookies and does not use analytics, advertising, fingerprinting, social media plugins or any other tracking. Fonts, scripts and images are served from this website itself, so no third-party services are contacted while you use it.

Hosting

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To deliver the site and protect it against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical information that every browser sends when it loads a web page, such as your IP address, browser type and the address of the page you requested. We do not use this information to identify or track you. Cloudflare describes its handling of this data in its privacy policy.

Links to other websites

Pureico links to Ko-fi (for optional donations) and GitHub (for the source code). These websites are not run by us, and their own privacy policies apply when you visit them. Nothing is loaded from them unless you click a link.

Donations and emails

If you support Pureico on Ko-fi, the payment is handled by Ko-fi and its payment providers. Ko-fi may share with us the details you choose to give, such as your name, email address and message. If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use this information only to thank you or reply to you, and we never sell or share it.

Children

Pureico is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13. The website does not collect personal information, so we do not knowingly collect any from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK or the CCPA in California, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. The website itself does not collect personal data, so usually there is nothing for us to provide. For anything you have sent us directly, such as an email, contact us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
